From The Ashes – The Commodore Phoenix

Posted on | March 26, 2010 | 2 Comments

Reader beware: This whole thing could be a hoax, as Martin Decky pointed out in comments. See this, its identical to the Phoenix. This confirms my concerns about the Commodore logo being absent. To avoid linking and adding to hype, the original post has since been deleted.

The Commodore Phoenix looks OK, but I have some doubts about the company “Commodore USA” and whether their use of the name Commodore is nothing more than a cheap ad trick (well, yes, of course it is, this has nothing to do with the original C64, but the trick should not be cheaper than cheap :)).

A fact is that this “Commodore Phoenix” is just a rebranded machine sold already for more than a year by Cybernet as ZPC-GX31

And the question is whether Commodore USA would at least put the Commodore logo on the top left corner ..
