Regarding my php ‘hgwebdir’

Posted on | April 4, 2008 | Comments Off

A few people have e-mailed me asking about this PHP version of Mercurial’s `hgwebdir’. There is absolutely nothing special about it, it was thrown together with simple PHP to read */.hg/hgrc and simplepie to pull and cache the RSS commitment logs. The only reason it exists is so that I could pull the repo directory into the WordPress loop and include links to other stuff like tutorials.

When the new “coal” theme for Mercurial stops moving, I plan to use it and modify it to more closely match the design elements of Echoreply. At that time, I’ll clean up the php ‘webdir’ and release it into the public domain.

Really, its nothing more than an ugly hack. No, I do not have a full blown PHP-ized version of hgweb, sorry to disappoint you :)
